The Edo State Universal Basic Education Board i.e. Edo SUBEB invites applications from interested candidates for the vacancy of Education Manager. This is external recruitment for all 18 local government areas of the state.

Edo SUBEB Education Manager Recruitment Application 2021

SUBEB has opened the window for external applications for field officers and LGA staff. The expectations for these roles are high because the work that YOU will do is so critical. We are starting the recruitment process to identify the next batch of EdoBEST Learning and Development Officers, Quality Assurance Officers, Social Mobilization Officers, Instructional Oversight Officers, Builders, Statisticians/Researchers, Communications Officer, and IT Officers.

 

The recruitment process involves three (3) rounds of selection. Candidates must complete ALL three (3) rounds to be selected to join any of the above-stated teams. Please complete this form to indicate your interest in participating in the first round of the selection process. Please note that the selection process will include a Computer-Based Test (CBT).

 

Kindly note that shortlisted candidates must have a minimum of Second Class Upper from an accredited University. A Masters degree in any of the following fields would be an added advantage:

 

  • Measurement and Evaluation
  • Project Management
  • Research and Statistics
  • Social work
  • Guidance and Counselling
  • Psychology
  • Communications, Journalism or English
  • Education (any discipline)

 

Department Descriptions:

The Social Mobilization team is responsible for community engagement. They work closely with the school-based management committees (SBMCs) and community members across the state. Their focus is on sensitizing and garnering the support of key stakeholders so that all pupils have the opportunity to get a transformational education.

 

The Quality Assurance (QA) team is responsible for the auditing of school operations, including facilities, materials & supplies, personnel, and processes, against our standards and policies to ensure total compliance. QA ensures all our schools are compliant with procedural requirements through daily school observation visits and audits. This team collects and audits data to provide valuable insights into critical operational issues that need to be addressed in line with the set expectations.

 

The Instructional Oversight team is a part of the QA department. They review and analyze critical data coming from schools in order to maximize pupil, teacher, and HM performance. The data that they analyze includes pupil attendance, teacher attendance, HM attendance, GPS coordinates, pupil exam data, and more.

 

The IT Team is responsible for ensuring that everyone from school staff to education managers within the LGA all has the functioning technology they need to excel at their jobs.

 

The Learning & Development Department (L&D) is responsible for the professional development of school staff. They engage with headmasters and teachers every day, ensuring ongoing professional development, performance management, and intensive coaching. They are always seeking effective ways of ensuring every adult in every school is supported with data-driven practices, and supported to become a leader and mentor to the pupils they serve. L&D is a part of the School Support Services department.
