Core Functions / Responsibilities:

Participate in the recruitment and selection exercise for staff in allocated units in accordance with the recruitment procedures. Ensure the administrative actions for these staff are processed in a timely manner

 

Support the HR Officer to manage the Consultancy Contract Process in the mission in line with the IOM Rules and Regulations, and in establishing due practices in the mission.

 

Ensure all Consultancy Payments are made in a timely and accurate manner verifying all the required documents are in place.

 

Be responsible for the Consultants Matrix duly updated and maintained both in the Consultancy Database and on SAP on a regular basis

 

Participate in the recruitment and selection process for the consultants to ensure a competitive process is followed in line with the set guidelines and rules in the mission

 

Provide relevant guidance to all consultants hired in the mission and support their requests in accordance with the staff regulation and rules in coordination with the HRO

 

Required Qualifications and Experience

Four years of relevant working experience with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; six years of working experience with a high school diploma in a relevant field is required

 

At least 6 years of working experience in the HR Field in a busy organization.

 

At least 3 years of supervisory experience or related functions preferably with an international organization.

 

Strong working experience in SAP is an added advantage.

 

Familiarity with the UN common system or similar systems, knowledge of staff rules and regulations, staff entitlements and benefits, recruitment and selection practices, and training programs.

 

Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills with proven ability to work effectively and harmoniously with a team of colleagues.

 

Mature individual, able to work independently under pressure, able to maintain accuracy, paying attention to details, meeting deadlines, and working with minimal supervision.

 

Solid computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite (Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) internet, and Email
