Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) Recruitment 2020 for Honorary Wardens

KWS Recruitment 2020: The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) is a state corporation established by Parliamentary Act to enforce Kenyan wildlife conservation and wildlife law. Section 12 (5) of the Wildlife Conservation and Management Act 2013 has appointed a suitable person for the honorary warden to assist the service in enforcing the provisions of this Act.

KWS Eight (8) has declared open positions for Honorary Warden in the Conservation Area and invited persons interested in various fields to apply for consideration for appointment as Honorary Warden.

Responsibilities of Honorary Warden:

 

The responsibilities of the Honorary Warden shall be subject to the competence and competence of each person and shall not be limited to the following:

 

Wildlife protection;

Problem animal management;

Conservation education;

Increase public participation and awareness in wildlife conservation;

Fundraising for wildlife conservation;

Fire control in protected areas;

Translation of wildlife;

Wildlife count;

Species and ecosystem monitoring;

Wildlife use management;

Wildlife veterinary practice;

Recruitment Requirements:

They must be residents of conservation areas where they are applying for honorary wardship;

Must be active in wildlife conservation initiatives in conservation areas;

They should demonstrate the nature of assistance in implementing the provisions of the law.

Terms of employment

The appointment will be for a voluntary renewal period of three (3) years subject to satisfactory performance.
