The Nakuru County Public Service Board invites applications from competent and qualified persons to fill the position of Fisheries Assistant II in the County Government of Nakuru Public service.

 

Job Title: Fisheries Assistant II

Department: Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries

Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 22,270 – Ksh. 30,020 p.m.

 

For appointment to this position, a candidate must:

 

  • Be a Kenyan Citizen;
  • Have a Certificate in a course lasting not less than two (2) years in either Fisheries Management, Natural Resource Management or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution; and
  • Be proficient in computer application skills

 

Duties and Responsibilities

An officer at this level will work under the guidance of an experienced officer. Duties and responsibilities will entail:

 

  • Participating in provision of fisheries extension services;
  • Collecting fisheries statistical data;
  • Maintaining fish farms and hatcheries; and
  • Assisting in ensuring hygienic fish landing sites, market and farms.
