The job openings are open to more than 3,200 new officers who will be recruited in three major cadre positions:
- Superintendent Cadre
- Inspectorate Cadre
- Assistant Cadre

General Eligibility Requirements for Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) Supplementary Recruitment
All candidates applying for the 2021 Vacancy of Nigeria Customs must have the following requirements:
- Be a Nigerian citizen by birth or descent
- Applicants must be between 18-30 years of age
- No less than 1.7 m for men and 1.64 m for women.
- Fully elongated chest measures not less than 0.87 m, male.
- Must be certified by a Government Medical Officer to be physically and mentally fit for employment
- Do not suffer from any kind of physical or mental disability
- Stay away from any kind of financial trouble
- Must be of good character and will not be convicted of any criminal offense
- Submit a certificate of origin signed by the President / Secretary of their local governments. Certificate approved by communication authority is unacceptable

Other Specific Requirements
Applicants whose age is between 18-30 years
Bachelor’s degree or HND equivalent and NYSC discharge or exemption certificate in any of the following fields of study.
Obtained from recognized Polytechnic in any listed field of study in ND/NCE cadre and NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate
Applicants whose age is 18 – 25 years
SSCE/NECO or GCE with credits in at least 3 subjects obtained in one sitting including English and Mathematics and passed in at least two other subjects. or
Five or more subjects including English and Mathematics obtained in more than two sittings for GCE General level or Customs Assistant Grade-II – Console 04 with pass in four subjects including English and Mathematics.
Proof of Completed Course in Govt. School Leaving Certificate before OR S.75 OR JSSC OR Relevant Trade Test Certificate for Customs Assistant – CONSOL 03.
