Job Description

The pharmacy manager will be in a supervisory role overseeing the workflow of the pharmacy department. The ideal candidate should have more than 10 years of experience in a similar role and experience in setting up a department.


Important responsibilities:

Manage pharmacy operations, supervise staff, perform administrative duties, and buy and sell non-pharmaceutical goods.

Assess identification, potency, and purity of prescribed and released drugs.

Teach pharmacy students as trainees in preparation for their bachelor’s or licensure.

Publish educational information for other pharmacists, doctors, and/or patients.

Review prescriptions to assure accuracy, locate the required materials, and evaluate their suitability.

Provide information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and appropriate drug storage.

Analyzing trends to monitor patient compliance and prevent overuse or harmful interactions.

Order and purchase of drug supplies, medical supplies, and drugs, maintaining and storing stock and handling it properly.

Ensure stock-taking is conducted regularly, and variance reporting is conducted on time.

Maintain records, such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, charge system files, inventories, control records for radioactive nuclei, and registers of poisons, narcotics, and controlled drugs.

Provide specialized services to help patients manage their conditions.

Advise customers on the selection of pharmaceutical brands, medical devices, and health care supplies.

Collaborate with other health care professionals to plan, monitor, review, and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of drugs and drug regimens to advise on drug applications and characteristics.

For example, offer health promotion and prevention activities to train people to use devices such as blood pressure and diabetes monitors.

Assurance services are in compliance with professional standards and state requirements.

Provide leadership to pharmacy technicians and make them aware and sure of their job responsibilities.



Degree in Pharmacy.

Knowledge of principles and procedures for providing customer and personal services.

Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities.

Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications.

Valid practice license.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
