Salary: Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 100,000 – 150,000 (Approx. 1,000 – 1,500 USD).

Job Description

Successful candidates will be responsible for planning and overseeing the activities of the existing workforce and ensuring smooth and profitable management of the business.

 

Candidates will be involved in all areas of customer service, hotel booking, home maintenance, supplier management, and overall administration, as well as hotel management as an important person of reference for employees, customers, and external vendors.

 

The ideal candidate will be a team player and an effective leader who will be able to set an example and create an environment of cooperation. The goal is to further strengthen the hotel’s reputation by dedicating customers and expanding customers. The experience of working on the coast is a must!

 

Important responsibilities:

Supervise work at all levels and set clear objectives.

Plan activities and assign responsibilities to achieve the most efficient operating model.

Manage budgets/expenses, analyze and interpret financial information, and track sales and profits.

Ensuring proper control of managers and daily reports.

Resort promotion and marketing locally and internationally.

Contact customers when appropriate – welcome them to opportunities, resolve their complaints, search for solutions, provide information, etc.

Dealing with maintenance issues, staffing or equipment shortages, and overhaul.

Collaborate with external parties such as suppliers, travel agencies, and event/conference planners.

Visit facilities regularly and apply strict compliance with health and safety standards.

Ensuring the benefits of food and beverage services when meeting hygienic requirements and meeting the right foods.

Review service agreements with vendors, review bids, and make recommendations.

Increase team and collaborative morale by presenting an enthusiastic, optimistic, supportive attitude.

Ensuring compliance with licensing laws and health and safety.

 

Eligibility:

Degree in Business Administration, Hotel / Hospitality Management, or related field.

5+ years of experience as a hotel manager or relevant role. Front office background priority.

Understand all hotel management best practices and relevant laws and guidelines.

Great leadership skills and great attention to detail.

Strong organization skills.

Strong digital marketing skills.

Great customer service skills as well as business mentality.

Demonstrates skill in decision-making and problem-solving.

Reliable with the ability to work well in multi-tasking and stress.

Good proficiency in English.

Knowledge of MS office work; Knowledge of hotel management software is an advantage.
