Work responsibilities

Assist in recruiting and selecting potential supervisors and interviewers

Coordinate with the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) and the National Population Commission (NPOPC) on the home listing, sampling, aggregation, and respondent sensitivity.

Take overall responsibility for managing all field teams, including biomarker / ethnic field teams, and liaise with government and community leaders.

Train diet interviewers on the dietary components of the survey.

Provide hands-on assistance to all field supervisors.

Overseas pre-testing and piling activities.

Keep a field schedule in the designated area (field calendar) and report any issues that may create an overrun immediately.

Supervises data quality administration by periodically reviewing questionnaires to provide feedback to required supervisors and interviewers.

Maintain the quality of data collection by encouraging hard work by field teams and uploading data collected over time.

Develop a zonal field calendar in collaboration with survey coordinators and component leads.

Provide updates on the overall survey coordinator and survey material leads.

Write a report at the end of the collection of data on-field activities and field experience and send the surveyor to the overall coordinator.


Required Qualifications

Master’s in Nutrition, Food Science / Technology, Community Development, or Public Health (or an advanced degree in a relevant field).

An employee of state or federal government with the above qualifications can also apply with a minimum of five (5) years’ related experience performing the related roles.

Candidates from the zone and residing in the zone are highly preferred.
